Sophie founded The Dartmoor Soap Company in 2013 after the birth of her little boy, Sebastian. Like many little ones he struggled with sensitive skin and eczema and unhappy about smothering him in steroids Sophie decided to try an all natural, gentle soap with no added nasties. The results were fantastic. Keen to stay at home with her little one for as long as possible Sophie decided to give the business a go, seeking inspiration and ingredients from her surroundings on Dartmoor in Devon.
Head of production and soap maker extraordinaire! Lizzie joined us in 2019 having spent several years in new product development at a large desert manufacturer suppling the UK’s biggest supermarket chains. Her attention to detail and infectious smile make her a joy to have around the studio. In her spare time she enjoys whipping up delicious vegan cakes (watch out Bosh boys!) and has recently got on board the HIIT craze!
Our Social Media guru and all round superstar. Carla joined us in January and has already worked her magic, breathing life into our SM accounts and giving them a much needed facelift. Our new photography is all thanks to her and her timeless style. When not being creative at work Carla enjoys spending time with her young family, renovating her gorgeous family home and channelling her inner Carol Klein. Her veg patch is the envy of many a neighbour.
Mel has recently joined The DSC team and may well be your first point of contact. An organisational whizz, Mel will endeavour to answer your queries, both big and small, as quickly as possible. Her friendly, approachable manner and bubbly personality make her a joy to have on the team – so please do get in touch: firstname.lastname@example.org
Web designer by day, rockstar by night. What he doesn’t know about computers is not worth knowing. Simples! He is constantly developing this site, responding to increasing product ranges, soaring demand and customer feedback (always helpful, thank you!). He even managed to keep the website afloat during a Countryfile airing which is by all means unheard of!
