Description

We have teamed up with the wonderful local organic farmers at Taw River Dairy to create this creamy, moisturising milk bar which is unscented and suitable for sensitive skins. Please see our FAQ page for more information.

Made from

Olea europaea (Pumice olive oil), Lac (Milk), Cocus Nucifera (coconut oil), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower oil), Cera alba (beeswax), Butyrospermum Parkii (shea butter).

Life On The Farm
Our eco-friendly farm is home to over 50 Jersey’s both pure-bred and crossed with other native dairy breeds. We believe that happy cows produce happy milk, and we think that because our cows are grazing as many days as possible and all rear their own calves then they must be among the happiest cows in the country. Here at Taw River Dairy we also have a small flock of Romney sheep who co-habit with the cows, they help maintain the the species rich meadows that our cows love so much.
Due to our natural system the cows are only milked once a day, we take just half of the milk to make sure the calves do not go hungry. This delicious raw milk is then taken to our on-site processing room, here it is turned into the delicious products that are available to you.

Our soaps are handmade in small batches here at The Dartmoor Soap Company HQ on Dartmoor, Devon. Due to the nature of the handmade process bars may vary slightly in shape. Each bar’s minimum weight, however, is identical and clearly labelled in line with EU guidelines for cosmetic products.

5p from every bar of natural soap sold is donated to Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust.

    I received this bar as a sample with an order. I absolutely love the soap and fully intend to buy several bars when I next need soap. It’s lather is gentle and silky. It leaves my hands feeling soft rather than dried out The bar itself while not scented smells wonderful.

    Rich, creamy and truly lovely. Just like the milk of the same name this Gold Top soap is delightful. My skin can be reactive to some products and extra hand washing has triggered red, sore skin. This soap is gentle and soothing…..and I think of those beautiful Jersey cows whenever I use it!

    I treated myself to this soap during the lockdown for Covid. My hands were sore and sad after all the times I’d been washing them with hand sanitisers at work. Now they’re happy again! The soap is very moisturising and after just a couple of days my hands were softer and no longer sore. It’s long lasting too (I’ve had mine for over 4 weeks now and still lots left). I won’t be going back to any other soaps now.
