The Benefits of Milk Soap

The words ‘milk’ and ‘soap’ don’t often appear in the same sentence together. Indeed for some the relationship between the two can seem questionable and even puzzling yet the benefits of milk in skincare have long been documented and can be dated as far back as Cleopatra, who is reported to have bathed in milk in her quest to achieve glowing skin.

But what value does milk bring to the skincare table? Raw milk is rich in B vitamins, calcium, alpha hydroxy acids and many other antioxidants which nourish the skin and lock in moisture. When used to create milk soaps it is respected for its ability to soothe and relieve inflamed skin cells, whilst gently removing dirt and unwanted surface bacteria.
